Since the clips were shared, Eskom released a statement about the power plant and has said that there were no injuries as a result of the fire. The power utility also said that they would be replacing the belt that was burnt so that the power plant operates as usual.

Eskom can confirm that a fire broke out on one of the conveyor belts taking the ash out of the Kendal Power Station this morning. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries. The belt will be replaced today. The station continues to operate as normal. @SABCNews @eNCA
