Since it has been revealed that the first original African series on Netflix ‘Queen Sono’ starring the beautiful Pearl Thusi will not be getting a second season anymore, due to the pandemic and “trying times”, Vuyo Dabula has had to rethink his career move of ditching his former production Generations: The Legacy.
The Daily Sun has reported that Dabula has now changed his mind about leaving the SABC1 soapie after his request to be released from his contract.
According to the publication, close sources have revealed that Vuyo’s last minute decision to leave gave the producers a hard time because of the sudden changes that had to be made, and now they are not willing to allow the actor back onto the show because preparations for his exit have already been made.
” It was a nightmare having to scramble an exit story for him because he is one of the principal members of the show“
” As far as I Know, he is still leaving the show and everything has been concluded for his exit and there is no turning back” the source said.
The Daily Sun previously reported that the producers of the SABC1 soapie gave the actor an ultimatum and asked him to chose between the soapie and Queen Sono. Dabula made his choice to go with Queen Sono, leaving everyone on the production of Generations shocked as the soapie was the actors stable income.
Vuyo however has responded to the rumours in saying that he is not leaving the show, so we guess the actor is determined to make his way back into the producers good books, someway somehow.
