Pearl Modiadie Heartbroken To Learn Of Zaziwa Cancellation Via Twitter! For the past year Mzansi has wondered when Zaziwa would come back on air and every time fans would ask the host, Pearl would say our guesses were as good as hers.
At some point Pearl Modiadie was the highest rated female television presenter in Mzansi when Zaziwa hit 4.5 million viewers. The show’s ratings dropped after it was moved from its original Thursday night slot and eventually went off air.
A few days ago news broke that SABC had officially cancelled Zaziwa for good. “A decision was taken not to recommission the show for another season, the channel is, however, exploring other content ideas and formats in the slot, allowing room to curate a diverse offering to viewers,” SABC Spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo said in a statement.
As the news of the show getting canned goes viral, Pearl has reacted on twitter sharing how she found out like the rest of us did…. on social media.
“It’s heartbreaking to find out on social media,” Pearl tweeted. Hectic! We have no doubt Pearl will bounce back even harder.
