SA Celebs Who Disappeared From Our Screens 2019! South African entertainment industry is growing and opening up, meaning there are more artists in the space than ever before.

As much as we’d love to believe there’s space for everyone, it’s not always the case. More artists are fight for same roles and TV gigs. This is one of the many reasons why we no longer see some of our faves on screen anymore. Some left voluntarily to pursue other passions and are living their best lives away from showbiz and some the pressure of it all got to them.

Check out this list of some of popular TV faces who disappeared from our local screens.

Kagiso Rakosa

She was meant to have a comeback back in 2015 after she had left Generations a few years earlier. But Kagiso has disappeared on the radar and it seems for good.

Nonhle Thema

Nothing has ever been the same for the once ‘IT’ girl Nonhle since her meltdown a couple of years ago. A comeback seem to be not as easy as anyone would think for a former star like Nonhle.

Laurian Nortje

If you had asked us back in 2011, we’d have predicted Laurian to be the most likely to succeed in transitioning from child star to grown TV stardom. It seems her love for television has faded.

Sam Lehoko

Sammy Sosa had a shaky relationship with the industry as she got in trouble and fired a few times. She recently announced she was returning to the industry, we’ve yet to see what she will focus on.

In no way shape or form did I ever imagine to be as happy as I am today. I have learnt so many valuable lessons and most importantly become to understand who I am. Life is such a beautiful thing and filled with music, books, art, culture, colour and most importantly incredible people and blessings. I appreciate each and every single person I have met and value all they’ve done – good and bad. I look forward to the future, in the public eye or not… I am a strong, black woman. Smart, passionate, patient, resilient, fun, open-minded and more.. Thank you to my beautiful 2 sons for inspiring me and for pushing me to be better. I love my family dearly and the love of my love too, who everyday encourages me to the best version of myself. Thank you to @richartistry_ for this incredible photoshoot and to @mendyntini for my makeup; may The Almighty continue to bless you both and give you the strength to grow to newer heights. Thank you to @fablaneonline for this super awesome outfit. I wish everyone reading this much love and light.
