Now the star’s financial woes have been made public and it’s not looking good. Zahara purchased a new home in the leafy Little Falls suburb in Johannesburg a few years ago and according to records she has not been paying her monthly bond installments for a while.
Zahara received a R1.9m mortgage bond from Nedbank to purchase her home. The last payment Nedbank received from Zahara was on June 30 2017. She was supposed to pay just under R18,000 in monthly installment but has failed to do so.
Now the total outstanding amount on the account in respect of which the execution is sought is R1,731.684.62. Not only that but the singer is also behind on her paying her monthly installments for the 2014 Evoque SUV she bought early 2018. According to Standard Bank papers seen by Sunday World, the bank granted Zahara a R438,197 loan in January 2018 to buy the car.
She was R33,725.41 in arrears back in February 2019. Zahara stands to lose her home and the luxury car.
