In December last year, Maarohanye and his co-accused Themba Tshabalala were each sentenced to 25 years in jail.
The two were each sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for murder and four years imprisonment for attempted murder.
For use of drugs, driving under the influence of drugs, and racing on a public road, they got a year for each count, to run concurrently.

Jub Jub was considered a sexy celeb before going to prison but we can’t say the same for the Jub Jub after prison. “I went in a sexy guy and came out fat,” Jub Jub on gaining weight in prison.
In a recent interview, the rapper admitted that he didn’t have much time to work out whilst in prison and he focused on writing his book and music.
“I didn’t have time to gym because I was writing and writing and praying so much. I went in a sexy guy and came out fat. Prison is everything you think it is and so much more. It’s a school of hard knocks and survival of the fittest. It’s not good,” he said.
