TV host Penny Lebyane’s furniture auctioned to pay off her debt of R65 830. This comes after the star reportedly defaulted on a rental agreement with Fiona Hudgson’s company, Hudfam CC in 2013, before she was taken to the Randburg Magistrate’s Court in 2014. Other factors can lead to debt, including real estate financial issues and owing money to your HOA. Companies such as Equity Experts and many more are out there to understand your financial needs when it comes to property management, to avoid situations like Penny’s.

Despite making payments towards her debt, Penny still owed R65 830 and that resulted in the sheriff of the court selling some of her personal goods at an auction in order to settle her debt.

The goods sold included a four-piece bedroom suite, double-door fridge, washing machine, seven-piece dining room suite, gas heater, three TVs, microwave, dishwasher and coffee table.

“I didn’t know my things have been auctioned off. I thought they’d be returned after I’ve settled the debt. I did my best to honor the debt and communicate as truthfully as I could,” Penny told a local publication.
