It was announced earlier this year that Denise Zimba will be making her exist from Generations: The Legacy to pursuit other things with her career, and it looks like her exist has come sooner than expected.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram Denise shares that it’s time for a new chapter in her life. She opens up about her career and how she’s never been recognised for the work that she’s put into the industry.
She goes on to thank those fans that have believed in her journey and have been there all the way.
We must say that we’ve really enjoyed the TV personalities bubbly and always happy attitude when she’s on our screens. Trust us Miss Zimba, we’ll always love you!!
New Beginnings…
A new chapter under construction. We sometimes fight and work so hard to be in a certain place in our lives, but the reality is, only God has your life planned out. I am on the biggest show in South Africa and the most popular youth entertainment channel in South Africa – amongst the many years I’ve studied for this, danced for other artist, countless auditions, ‘FLY CHIX’ – and never have I been recognized for the work and the influence I’ve made … And that is ok, and has always been ok with me. The sad thing is that our entertainment industry strives to be different and grow in a certain direction, but if it continues to embrace the same faces and never allowing new talent to be embraced and supported, we can never compete with the rest of the world. This might be all I had to do before my next chapter, whatever that will be, but I must give thanks. Thank you to every single person who believed in my work, believed in the ‘crazy’, understood what I stood for. I will forever be grateful to the many individuals who had only great things to say about me, in my personal space and within my professional (career) space. Never stop believing in your greatness. No man can tell you otherwise. You have a power and gift only the higher power has planted in you. It’s up to you to fill up that urge with your love, kindness, talent and courage. Don’t let anyone dictate what’s ‘cool’ and what’s not ‘cool’ for you. Protect and respect each others existence and journey’s. Teach people how to treat you, value yourself. Don’t compromise your integrity, your soul, for the good of this industry that is perceived as a ‘Wonderland’. Most of it is all show. We are all but the same but not the same.
