Simphiwe Ngema, otherwise known as Thuli on popular drama Muvhango is set to exit the soapie soon. It broke a number of fans hearts that they won’t be seeing the beaut anymore. (Read that story HERE.)
The producers of the show have apparently said that the actresses character has be come useless to the story line.
Speaking to Mo Flava on Metro FM recently, Simphiwe opened up about her exit and some of her future plans.
“As they say, all good things have to come to an end. I had a great time there and worked with amazing people, but it was time. God has bigger plans for me, and I felt it was time for me to leave and to grow.”
She adds that even though she’s been on the soapie for over 5 years she always felt the pressure of the industry, and that your exit could come on any day.
“The industry is very unpredictable. A producer can wake up one morning and decide they don’t want your character anymore, and you have to have something to fall back on,” she says.
Even though Simphiwe says that her focus will be on other projects she insists that acting will forever be her first love. We really can’t wait to see her on our screens again.
