So it’s true what they say, not everybody celebrates with you when you’re doing well. Some just want to take you down.
Considering that Zola just scored himself a gig helping kids reconnect with their fathers and making sure that men take up their responsibilities, you would think that he’s quite the responsible father himself, well apparently not.
Zola’s ex-girlfriend has reportedly turned to the court to help her claim some maintenance money from the Kwaito musician.
The Uthathako presenter has hit back at the accusations that he’s been neglecting his kids and claims that the baby mama, Garnett Maseko, refuses to let him see his kids and she sells all the clothes that he buys for them.
Speaking to Move! magazine, Zola admits that he told the court that he didn’t pay May’s maintenance only because he was not allowed to see his kids.
Zola adds that it really breaks his heart knowing that some nights his kids may go to bed on empty stomachs, and their school teachers have reached out to him to let him know that they sometimes come to school dirty and without their homework being done.
His kids are said to be in a posh Parktown school which he pays the school fees for.
“I buy clothes for my children in bulk at the beginning of each season and she promptly has a jumble sale at her home and sells most of the clothes for half price. If I buy 10 dresses, she sells eight and leaves two. My two kids look malnourished. When they visit me, they cry when they have to go back to their mother,” says Zola.
