car crash crazy man

When people search for “Roof repair near me” often it is for the same reasons, it’s old and needs replacing, it was hit by a storm, or a crack is giving way to water damage. For this unlucky homeowner, it is because a car plowed right through the roof. Now we’ve seen and heard of cars driving through walls and gates but never through the roof of a house! Although a mesmerizing image and nothing we’ve quite seen before, it’s important to remember that this is still a collision and that this could have caused significant damage to numerous parties.

News 24 reports that a car flew off the road at great speed and crashed into the roof of a house in KwaMakhutha, south of Durban, on Thursday morning.

The driver of the vehicle says that he drove over a ramp before he crashed into the roof of the house, ER24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw said.

It’s reported that only one person was in the house at the time of the accident and was woken up by the sound of the crashing car. Amazingly no one was hurt during the incident, including the driver of the vehicle. Considering how unusual this collision is, it’s such a surprise that no one was badly hurt thankfully.

Although no one was hurt, the house has suffered significant damage and will likely need extensive repairs. When considering a new roof, it’s a good idea to look into Spray Foam Solutions as it gives more strength and structure to the property. Perhaps something sturdier than corrugated metal needs to be put in place because although unlikely, it would be a tragedy if this were to happen again. A sturdier roof, something similar to what Cap City Restoration offers, may be able to protect the home more and anyone inside of it.

The cause of the accident is still unknown and will be investigated further, Rossouw said.

As crazy as this was, we’re really glad that no one got hurt…but the damages to the house, damn!
