By a show of hands who misses Sbusiso Dlomo?
Honestly speaking Generations will never be Generations ever again, we guess that’s why it’s called the Legacy now, right?
Drum magazine recently sat down with Menzi Ngubane commonly known as Sbusiso Dlomo to find out where he is with his acting career and what he thinks about the new Generations and the cast.
Even though a lot of people admit to not being big fans of the new cast they still love watching Generations: The Legacy and it seems like the soapie’s ratings haven’t changed much. Most of the past cast members say that they have no interest in The Legacy and honestly don’t seem to care about what’s currently happening on that set, Menzi being one of them.
“Personally I wouldn’t say I watch the show. You’re not going to drag me into a debate about whether the acting is good or bad, or the storyline. It’s not my call.”
Menzi went on to shut down rumours that he’s nothing without Generations and that the soapie basically made his career. The actor revealed that Mfundi Vundla invited him directly to take on the role of Sbusiso Dlomo and that he didn’t go to any auditions or ask for a role on the soapie.
“I never begged for a job, and I never said Generations: The Legacy was rubbish,” he told Drum.
“I’m very thankful for the time I spent at Generations. The other thing is Generations never ‘made’ me. I came to Generations already made,” he continues.
Well on the plus side you can be assured that Menzi’s career is still alive and kicking as he is set to join the new drama on eTV, Ashes To Ashes, we really can’t wait to see what he has in store for us this time around.
See, there is life after Generations people!
