First Nedbank dumps her and now her boyfriend has left her as well?
Afro-soul singer Zahara is said to be single after her boyfriend apparently dumped her because she drinks too much.
According to Sunday Sun, Umhlobo Wenene FM presenter Amaza Ntshanga broke up with his famous girlfriend because he’d had enough of her love of the bottle and lack of effort to visit him.
Zahara, whose real name is Bulelwa Mkutukana, and Amaza have a long distance relationship, and sources claim that he didn’t appreciate the fact that they only saw each other if he made the effort to travel from Cape Town to Jozi to visit her.
Speaking to the publication, a colleague of Amaza said: “For them to see each other is a serious mission. Amaza complained that Zahara makes no effort to visit Cape Town and see him.
“He used to go up to Jozi to be with her. He also begged the station bosses to give him a transfer to Jozi – but that didn’t work.”
Insiders also claim that Zahara upset Amaza when she berated him for telling her what to do when he suggested she eases up on the drinking.
The source said that the singer is “no longer an innocent girl” she was when she broke onto the music scene with her hit song ‘Loliwe’.
When approached for comment, Amaza didn’t deny or confirm his split from Zahara, but instead criticised the Sunday Sun for only showing an interest in the juicy details of his personal life.
“Last week at the MTN Radio Awards my show Sijiki Langa won an award for the second time. So why don’t those people talk about that instead of gossiping?” he said.
