Actress and television presenter Boity Thulo has parted ways with well-known business manager, Vusi Leeuw.
According to Sunday Sun, Boity’s move has cost her a luxurious Jeep 4×4 that was taken back by the sponsors.
The paper reports that Boity called the sponsors to introduce her new management but sponsors did not stick around as she got the through Vusi’s contacts.
Sources claim that Boity was influenced by comedian Eugene Khoza, who it is rumoured to be engaged to Boity even though he is married.
“Boity shot herself in the foot by walking away from Vusi. He was working hard to push her brand, but Eugene influenced her to walk away,” a source claimed.
“After she had walked away from Vusi, she demanded all the contracts and invoices she had gotten through VL Consulting and Vusi gave her everything,” claimed one friend.
It is said that Boity is now blaming Vusi for her less-than-pleasant financial situation.
“Boity’s angry and told her friends Vusi was the cause of her downfall. She said Vusi sold her dreams. She even lost her ride and is now driving her old jalopy again,” claimed a friend.
Her move to part ways with Vusi might also cost her a chance to go to New York to study film at the world-acclaimed Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute.
Vusi confirmed that they have parted ways with Boity and that the Jeep was taken from the actress.
“She left my company after citing she had personal matters to attend to, so we had to part ways,” Vusi said.
Vusi denied messing up Boity’s career. “I’ve never messed up my clients and my record speaks for itself, so the allegations are not true.”
Boity’s new manager, Nicole Pettitt said: “It doesn’t sound like a nice article to me. In fact, it sounds like rubbish, so no comment.”
