The first we would like to know is, how does Lorna Maseko do it all?
Most of you may know Lorna for being a Top Billing presenter but before all the Billing fan Lorna Maseko is a ballerina, yes South Africa has those too. Lorna was mostly seen as a judge at dancing competitions and reality shows and more recently as a contestant in the MasterChef Kitchen.
Now the talented TV personality moves from entertainment to the food industry.
“I have always loved cooking, but it’s only through taking part in Masterchef that I really wanted to give a platform to people who have the same passion for food,” Lorna said.
Lorna has launched an event named Cooking With Lorna And Friends in December and is held quarterly. Tomorrow’s Cooking With Lorna And Friends event will be held at the Beechwood Gardens in Hyde Park and the whole event will take an Easter theme. Miss Maseko also announced that the event will only hold 120 people.
Tsogo Sun head chef, Benny Masekwameng, will be the professional chef for the event helping the participants prepare a three-course Easter meal.
“This is a cooking experience designed to build one’s confidence. The aim is to teach them that good home cooking and entertaining can be fun and not a boring chore,” Lorna added.
The food that is made at the event will be donated to the surrounding area’s of the venue which is another plus of the day.
Be sure to be at the Beechwood Gardens tomorrow. Entry costs R580 per participant.
