In terms of cameras, the phone would feature a 32 MP Sony IMX616 front sensor, along with a set of three rear lenses with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, an ultrawide 50 MP sensor with the same IMX766, and telephoto with a 12 MP Samsung S5K3M5 . Unlike its Pro sibling, however, the Find X5 would leave out the proprietary MariSilicon X auxiliary chip. To power the device, Oppo would use a 5,000mAh battery, with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Chip beats Snapdragon 8 in preliminary tests
The presence of the Dimensity 9000 in a premium cell phone like the Find X marks an important turning point for MediaTek, which until then saw its chips equip intermediate models or flagships of brands focused on cost-effectiveness. Oppo’s choice also seems right, at least considering preliminary analyzes of the component.
In a test unit obtained by the channel Geekerwan, still lacking optimizations, the Dimensity 9000 proved to have a superior CPU to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and, despite not having the same GPU power, it is extremely efficient in terms of consumption, being able to open up margins of advantage of up to 30%.
It is still necessary to wait for more complete tests, with phones actually launched with the platform, but everything indicates that Find X5 users should not experience significant performance losses compared to the Find X5 Pro.
