The Discord messaging app started releasing synchronization with PlayStation accounts this Monday (31). PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players will be able to show what they are playing in the app.
The novelty is being released gradually, but only for US accounts – there is no forecast for it to reach other countries. The app should display a notification when the feature is available.
To activate the integration, just access the Discord settings and then go to the connections section (see a step-by-step below). This is the same place where users can sync their Discord account with that of other services like Spotify, Steam, Twitch, Xbox and more.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with PlayStation and explore how we can collectively create great shared experiences for your friends and communities,” Discord said in an official blog post. The partnership between the two companies was announced in May 2021, but we have only seen the result now.
One of the most requested features by users is the integration of text and voice chat; thus, players could chat with friends from other platforms more easily. Will it come?
How to link PlayStation account to Discord?
If your account is from the United States, just do the following:
1. Open the Discord app on your computer, web browser or mobile phone.
2. Next, go to User Settings — a gear button that, on the computer, is in the lower corner, next to your name; on mobile, it’s on the button with your profile picture in the lower right corner.
3. Click Connections.
4. Find the PlayStation symbol.
5. Log in with your PlayStation account.
6. Ready! A connection summary should appear just below.
