Netflix has released a new trailer for The Chainsaw Massacre: Leatherface Returns, a reboot of the classic horror movie that will finally get a new version to scare a new generation of viewers. And the excerpt shown already shows how disturbing the feature will be.
Following the trend of the latest releases of classic horror franchises, Leatherface’s Return it is a mix of a reboot of the series with a continuation of the original film, disregarding the various sequels released over the years.
So much so that he very much resembles himself halloween 2018, bringing back the protagonist of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre original for a reckoning with the assassin. And the trailer punctuates that very well, putting a group of youngsters rediscovering the Legend of Leatherface and crossing his path as the veteran goes straight for the monster.

The difference is that, in the case of the new Netflix movie, actress Olwen Fouéré did not participate in the Electric Saw Massacre from 1974, although she plays the same Sally Hardesty from that movie. Marilyn Burns, who played the character in the original, passed away in 2014.
Even so, Leatherface’s Return there are some very disturbing moments, especially when the assassin goes around killing anyone who crosses his path. And there’s even room for a slightly comical scene, like when the tour group decides to photograph and expose the monster on social media as if it really cares about it.
This reboot is a great opportunity for the franchise to get back on its feet after several mediocre films, which made the series fall into oblivion for a long time. It is not by chance that Netflix decided to ignore all of them and keep only the canonical original film connected with the new feature – in the same way that we saw it happen with halloween.
