A new rumor suggests that Sony may announce a remake of a “great game” for the PlayStation in December of this year. The information was suggested by the singer folk Éabha McMahon, aka Ava, in an interview on Irish radio WLR FM’s Lunchbox program.
“I recently wrote a song for a PlayStation game with Michael McGlynn,” said the artist. McGlynn is the founder of the Irish choral group Anúna, which has already created music for games like Diablo III, for example. “This happened about a year and a half ago. That’s exactly when the pandemic started.”

She said she was responsible for writing the lyrics in Irish. McGlynn’s daughter, who “sang on the track”, and his wife, who “arranged some parts of the choir” also participated. “He also worked with me on the linguistic side of things, so it was almost like a family effort,” he added.
Finally, the artist stated that she didn’t know which game she was working on: “it’s kind of secret because they [a Sony] they don’t want it to leak.” The only information she was aware of was that the name of the game would be announced in December.
Secret game can be Chrono Cross or Xenogears
The speculations to find out what the game will be have already started. That’s because Yasunori Mitsuda, composer known for working on iconic games like Chrono Trigger, shadow hearts and Xenogears, posted a photo of McGlynn and her daughter to her Twitter account in August.

In the September NVIDIA GeForce Now data leak, which revealed the remastered trilogy of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) it’s the God of War from PC, a famous title appeared in the list: Chrono Cross Remaster, which would be a remastering of the game released for the first PlayStation in 1999. Others believe the game to be Xenogears, also from PS1, 1998 — this, however, did not appear on the leaked list.
Sony has no events scheduled for December. However, The Game Awards 2021, the biggest gaming award in the world, will take place on December 9th. At the ceremony, in addition to the awards ceremony, new games and news from the video game market are also usually revealed.
