Arrived in 2011 at Manchester United from PSV Eindhoven, Andreas Pereira had spent his first three years in England with the reserve of the Mancunian club. Since his debut in 2014, the Belgian-born Brazilian has made just 75 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring four goals and five assists. The attacking midfielder has also been loaned several times, to Granada then to Valencia as well as to Lazio Rome and Flamengo since last summer.
This loan in the Brazilian club is a success for the 26-year-old player who has already played 25 games and scored 5 goals. Flamengo wishing to acquire the player, without having to pay the sum of 20.4 M€ agreed at the start, entered into negotiations with Manchester with the aim of reducing the amount of the transfer. According to The Daily Mail, an agreement has been reached between the two parties around a sum of €10.5 million and a percentage on a future resale amounting to 25%. The player is expected to sign him a contract until 2026.
