Fire guts parts of Nigeria Supreme Court

A section of the Nigeria Supreme Court complex was on Monday morning reportedly gutted by fire.

The Daily Post reports that the cause of the fire at the nation’s apex court in Abuja is unknown.

The offices of three justices have allegedly been burned down.

The Director of Press and Information of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Dr Festus Akande, confirmed the fire.

“The fire has since been put out. There was no casualty,” Akande said.

Meanwhile, the Federal Fire Service operatives have put out the fire, and everything has returned to normal.
