Extinction Rebellion protest leads to two arrests at bank

A man and a woman have been arrested following an Extinction Rebellion protest in Belfast city centre.

Paint was thrown over a bank at Castle Place during the incident on Monday afternoon.

The 33-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and disorderly behaviour.

The area has been cleared and the pair are in police custody, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
