Sam Tarry, Labour’s shadow transport minister, has said he backs striking workers as he joins an RMT union picket line at London’s Euston station.
His comments come after Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said his frontbench MPs should not attend picket lines.
Sources close to Mr Tarry say there had not been any specific instructions about the strikes taking place on Wednesday 27 July.
