“And like many other organisations we don’t recommend leaving dogs alone for more than four hours at a time, and for some dogs, even this will be too long,” she says. “Using a reputable dog walker or sitter is a great way of provisioning dogs with the company they need, and opportunities to exercise, play and go to the toilet.”
