According to Image Sport, Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, who was being tracked by Bayern Munich to replace Niklas Süle, would prefer to leave the Blues to join FC Barcelona. The Bavarian club had however moved forward to bring the 24-year-old Dane next summer, who will be free of any contract in June, but Bayern’s offer would be too low for Christensen.
The Blaugranas would have passed in front of Bayern on this file, especially since the negotiations with the player would be complicated because the central defender of the Blues would not wish to take care of his future immediately for the sake of professionalism. He would therefore for the moment leave it to his advisers to take care of the talks with the clubs in order to be able to concentrate fully on Chelsea. The German media also claims that an extension of Christensen in the London club is not in the news.
