FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has been asked about the likely deal with streaming giant Spotify for next year’s shirt sponsorship. The Catalan manager seems optimistic on the file and considers that the Swedish company is the best choice for the Blaugrana club.
“The work is in progress, confided the Barcelona boss. Everything is going very well and we will announce it when the contract is signed and that we will have to approve it during the General Assembly of Compromisarios (major voters, editor’s note). In the board, we believe this is the best option for the Barca shirt. It connects us to music. It’s a big decision, I hope it will come out and there will be an extraordinary Assembly. In the deal that we have, they (Spotify) are asking for it to be approved so we can announce it as soon as possible.”
