Sony will be offering free multiplayer to all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players this weekend, February 12-14, with no PlayStation Plus subscription required. The action is a celebration of Saint Valentine’s Day (Valentine’s Day in the United States and European countries).
According to the official PlayStation Europe profile on Twitter, the free pass will be released at noon, local time in each country. The video highlights the multiplayer of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockoutbut players will be able to play online with friends in any title that has a multiplayer mode.

To take advantage, players will need to have a PlayStation Network account, internet access and the games themselves installed. This means that February’s PlayStation Plus games (EA SPORTS UFC 4; Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure and Planet Coaster: Console Edition) will not be free over the weekend.

The action should also serve to attract subscribers to PlayStation Plus. For new users, Sony offers a 14-day free trial period. Paid plans are divided into three options, all with cash payment:
- monthly – BRL 25.90
- quarterly – BRL 64.90
- annual – BRL 149.90
