Moto G Pro phones started receiving Android 12 on Wednesday (9). The S0PR32.44-11-8 update is the second OS update distributed to the XT2043-7 model of the lineup released in 2020, originally with Android 10.
Interestingly, the Moto G Pro was also the company’s first smartphone to receive Android 11 last year. The package is available exclusively in the UK currently, but it shouldn’t take long for Motorola to take it to other regions of the world – for this, however, there are still no exact dates.
On Motorola cell phones, Android 12 is in the guise of My UX, the brand’s personalized interface. The adaptation is very similar to “pure Android”, with changes in native apps, widgets, and icon format.

The overall experience, however, is practically the one designed by Google: what governs the look is Material You, with Dynamic Colors, pill-shaped buttons and other details; the Privacy Panel is also present to facilitate managing permissions and keeping an eye on app behavior.
With the update, Motorola delivers on its promise to start the update process in February. If the closed tests with the operating system continue, probably other devices will also be updated. It remains to wait for more news.
The package is automatically distributed to compatible devices. If you are eligible for the update, it is worth checking if it is available for download by going to Settings > System > Advanced > System Updates.
