Expectations for the third season of Ted Lasso are big, but fans will have to wait a little longer to check out the premiere. The news comes from Brendan Hunt, co-creator of the Apple TV+ original series.
Hunt, who also plays Coach Beard in the series, said in an interview that the delay will happen, without making the reasons very clear. That’s because he stated that, despite the scripts being all ready, the team hasn’t even started recording.
“We’re in pre-production and the scripts are written. It’s going to happen and it’s going to take longer than people want, but we’re going to try and get it right,” said Brendan Hunt.

The expectation was that the recordings of Ted Lasso started in January of this year, and then in February. Based on past seasons, then, the premiere could happen in October and the closing could happen around December. With the current delay, however, the series risks even arriving only in 2023.
