Monaco brings down OL and gets closer to the podium –

This Saturday evening, Monaco received OL on behalf of the 23rd day of Ligue 1. After their stunning success against OM a few days earlier, the gang of Peter Bosz presented themselves with certainty against Monaco. The Dutch technician decided to renew the same team. Only Paqueta made his return to the eleven in favor of a Cherki who therefore found the bench. And if you could think that OL were going to approach the start of the match with full confidence, that was not at all the case. The Monegasques walked in the first minutes and created countless chances. It only took two short minutes for the former Jean Lucas to open the scoring with a devastating header (1-0, 2nd). Dominating, Tchouameni’s teammates quickly broke thanks to Ben Yedder. The French international was amazingly cool when adjusting a Lopes who had repelled several shots in this first act (2-0, 27th).

Faced with the disastrous performance of his men, Peter Bosz decided to bring in three players at halftime. The two recruits Ndombélé and Faivre experienced their first minutes with the OL shirt. Cherki also came to bring new blood. These changes put OL back on track, recovering possession of the ball and managing to be dangerous, but each time Monaco was on the move. After a long strong moment, Lyon began to fall asleep a little and multiplied the technical inaccuracies. Enough to allow Monaco to calmly manage the meeting and try to drive the point home, without success this time. Despite improving, the Lyonnais did not manage to return to the game and even lost Cherki to injury… With this new defeat (the sixth of the season), OL are in 8th place while waiting for the other matches. And Peter Bosz’s starting choices should be talked about in the coming days. Monaco returns to 4th place.
