The latest recruit from FC Barcelona, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (32) was officially presented this Thursday by the Blaugrana club. A new challenge for the Gabonese striker who will however not be completely out of his country in Catalonia since his family lives there. In front of the journalists, the former Gunners striker thus shared his first impressions but obviously did not escape the question on the Ousmane Dembélé case (24 years old).
Asked about the situation around the extension of the 2018 world champion whom he rubbed shoulders with during a season at Borussia Dortmund (2016-2017), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did not spread out but nevertheless wanted to recall that he hoped for a favorable outcome between the Culés and the former Rennais: “I have to tell the truth, he is training very well”, declared the former Greens striker in particular, responding, in this respect, to the few criticisms made of Dembélé’s behavior, before adding: “as a friend, I hope he and the club will find a solution”. The message got through.
