Another Google Play system update has been released for Android users recently. The packages numbered 22.02.15 from Google Play Services and 28.9 from Google Play Store introduce improvements to the “Play-as-you-download” function and facilities for device management via Family Link.
Additionally, for UK resident users, the Wallet app can now be used as a public transport pass in the Pay As You Go system. Check out the full list of new features:

- [Celular, Tablet] Family Link notifications on a child’s device can be redirected to parental controls using Android settings in dual-screen mode (foldables or tablets only)
- [Celular, Tablet] Parents who help their children log in to their device will now have the option to also remotely install Family Link on their device.
Google Play Store
- Improvements have been made to the Play-as-you-download feature to allow players to start playing on mobile while downloading the app reduces waiting time
Wallet
- [Auto, Tablet, TV, Wear OS, Celular] Some eligible cardholders will have SMS verification enabled by default
- [Auto, Tablet, TV, Wear OS, Phone] Allows the purchase, scanning and use of compatible transit passes for Pay As You Go in the UK

- Added support for daylight saving time changes for several countries
When does the update arrive?
As always, the newest version of the Google Play system should be distributed to compatible Android phones gradually and automatically. If your device still hasn’t received the news, check for available downloads in Settings and look for “Google Play System Update”.
