Fan recreates Zelda map with 25,000 LEGO bricks –

a fan of The Legend of Zelda used and abused creativity to transform 25 thousand LEGO pieces into a recreation of the original map of Hyrule from the first game in the franchise, released for Nintendo (NES).

All work was done by Ian Roosma. In an interview with the website kotakuthe fan explained that The Legend of Zelda it was one of the first games that ended. “I was looking for something that had personal meaning to me,” she declared. “It also needed to be complicated enough to take a long time to build and complete. So recreating the entire Zelda map using only Lego bricks seemed like the perfect project.” Check out a video of the creation:

The recreation took over four months to complete. Roosma was able to obtain all 25,000 parts needed to build the map through independent vendors, as the project required thousands of identical parts. For the trunks alone, the designer ordered 3,000 round brown LEGO units. The reconstruction will serve as a decoration for Roosma’s house: the builder will fill one of the walls of his house with the LEGO world map.
