The Nubia Z40 Pro, the next flagship phone from the Chinese sub-brand ZTE, should be launched in February. With this, Nubia has been sharing performance results of the device’s cooling system and cameras.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the Nubia Z40 Pro promises a robust cooling system to help keep performance at a high level for long periods. According to Nubia, the phone’s body does not heat up even when running the mobile version of the game Genshin Impact with the maximum settings at an ambient temperature of 25ºC.
According to the teasers, the device features an unprecedented system that uses graphite and a three-phase cooling solution that performs massive heat dissipation. Because of this, the model was supposedly nicknamed the “Frost Dragon”.

Camera improvements
As previously revealed, the Nubia Z40 Pro will use the custom Sony IMX787 sensor with a 35mm focal length and f/1.6 aperture. The lens is designed to reduce image distortion by 35% and capture 80% more light, resulting in sharper photos.
This also gives more viewing angles for users to get clicks on events and portraits. It is worth mentioning that current cell phone cameras usually have a focal length between 23 and 27 mm, which still generates slight distortions when capturing images of people.
The custom sensor even has omnidirectional autofocus, giving you better results when using fast focus. According to the brand, the camera of the new device is 70% more reliable compared to the lens set of the Nubia Z30 Pro.
Furthermore, the Nubia Z40 Pro can use ultrawide sensors and periscope with optical zoom. However, no information was released about the number of megapixel cameras available on the device.
What to expect from the Nubia Z40 Pro
Details about the Nubia Z40 Pro are still scarce. The device is expected to have similarities with the Nubia Z30 Pro, such as the 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution.
Another expected feature is a battery with 4,600 mAh or higher, with support for fast charging up to 120 W. In the previous generation, the device had the advantage of reaching 100% charge in just 15 minutes.
The Nubia Z40 Pro is slated to launch in the Chinese market in February, but no specific date has been announced by the brand. Therefore, it is possible that more details about the mobile will be released soon.
