Despite the rather lukewarm reception from Boba Fett’s Book on Disney+, Lucasfilm remains very excited about the possibility of expanding the universe of Star Wars — so much so that it even gave up other projects that were in development, including some with the potential to become new sagas in theaters.
This is the case with the books in the series. Children of Blood and Bone, written by Tomi Adeyemi and that became a phenomenon in the United States, being among the most read of the New York Times. The rights to the work were in the hands of the studio, but the adaptation was abandoned so that there was a greater dedication to Star Wars and other existing franchises, such as Indiana Jones and even willow.

However, it seems that the plans have changed to the point where the rights of Children of Blood and Bone have gone to Paramount. Not to mention Indiana Jones 5.
And this studio focus on existing properties is something that also encompasses the series. According to THR, the studio plans to release 10 series over the next few years, many of which have already been announced in the universe. Star Wars, but also involving other franchises, such as the case of willow. Among these future projects are Obi-Wan Kenobi, andor, Ahsoka, land and The Acolyte, in addition to the new season of The Mandalorian.
