Apple’s AR/VR glasses may be delayed by overheating issues –

The launch of Apple’s augmented and virtual reality glasses may not happen in 2022 thanks to overheating issues that would be affecting units at a current stage of development.

With an announcement previously scheduled for June during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and launch between November and December, new information revealed by Bloomberg point out that the presentation of the accessory can only be for next year.

Development issues related to overheating, cameras and software are said to hamper the 2022 announcement and release plans.

With that the presentation of the mixed reality glasses can be moved to the end of 2022 or beginning of 2023, with launch only next year.

It is also revealed that the 2023 WWDC would have a major focus on virtual reality and augmented reality game and application development for the device’s proprietary App Store.

Also according to Bloomberg, there is a possibility for Apple to present the name and hardware and software features of the glasses during the developer conference this year without revealing great details such as design, price and launch.

Expected to be Apple’s most innovative device since the first iPhone and with the potential to be a game-changer in the industry, the device could sell up to 3.5 million units in its first year of release and replace the iPhone within ten years.

More details regarding Apple’s AR/VR glasses should emerge in the coming weeks, reinforcing or contradicting the information we currently have.
