That the cell phone, today, does not have the main function of making and receiving calls, this is nothing new. But that doesn’t mean companies shouldn’t look carefully at this still crucial area of a communication device. Apple seems to have forgotten to enable Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) on the iPhone 13, as this option does not appear in any of the settings menu.
At first it was believed to be a bug. After all, the iPhone 13 preserves the same four microphones available on the iPhone 12 — which brings the function. However, Apple’s own support has confirmed, in recent days – and more than once – that the function is simply not available. And may never be.
A user, after insisting on several channels, received a response that iPhone 13 line phones do not support active noise cancellation. The function is for the user who is without headphones to reduce the ambient sound and isolate the voice.

But when two iPhone 13s are on the same call, some bugs are occurring. A user, when using CarPlay, reports that the absence of the function causes his voice, in the receiving device, to be recaptured by the microphones, thus returning with echoes in the call.
Work around
A palliative found is the user, in the Control Center, to activate the voice isolation in each call he makes or receives. It doesn’t make much sense for this option to be available, and ANC is not.
Remember, iOS is at version 15.2. As the problem is old, it was believed that this firmware could fix the problem. Apple did not, as now the company’s support page even suggests that the problem is not a bug, but a decision of the manufacturer.
