A listing found in the website’s database PCI Devices suggests that Nvidia may soon release a new version of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, an advanced mid-range model that used to be the brand’s best value for money, now equipped with a GA103 chip. There is still not much information about the board, but it is believed that the novelty is an attempt to increase inventories without affecting the production of other solutions in the family.
Nvidia may launch new RTX 3060 Ti with GA103 chip
The record found in PCI Devices is recent, dated from last Tuesday (11), and explicitly mentions the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, as well as the name of the chip, the GA103 — more specifically, the variant adopted is the GA103-200, as suggested by leaker kopite7kimi in response to the VideoCardz website. There are no details on GPU specs, but considering this is the same model equipped on the recently announced RTX 3080 Ti for notebooks, it is possible to speculate on some configurations.
If it is just a hardware revision, keeping the specifications of the original model, the novelty would have 4,864 CUDA cores, using only 60% of the GA103, whose full implementation reaches 7,680 CUDA cores, it seems.

Still, improvements in the CUDA core count and even in memory capacity cannot be completely ruled out, given that the recent 12GB RTX 3080 is modestly bulkier than the traditional 10GB version, despite the proposal focusing on in the increase of VRAM.
