Apple today released iOS 15.2.1 update for iPhone and iPad users and the highlight of the package is the fix for a HomeKit crash. The update brings little news and arrives about a month after the release of iOS/iPadOS 15.2 for compatible devices.
Apple’s release notes on this 9C63 build are pretty short and show spot fixes. The first was to address an issue when the Messages app was unable to load photos sent using iCloud Link.

The second tweak is linked to a bug with third-party CarPlay apps that stop responding to user input. It wasn’t explained which apps were affected by the crash, so you can assume it’s a widespread issue.
