Google app is the newest to hit 10 billion downloads on Android –

Recently, the Gmail app has achieved 10 billion downloads from the Play Store. Google’s free email service client thus becomes the sixth app to reach the milestone, joining the likes of Google Play Services, YouTube and Google Maps.

If you’re an Android user, you’ve certainly dealt with Gmail at some point — if only to disable the app. Every cell phone with the Robot System comes out of the box with the program already installed, which also facilitates the initial adjustments to the Google account, which is necessary to use some services included in the cell phone.

Through Gmail, users have full control over Google’s webmail service. From there, you can check your inbox, send messages, attend meetings, check staff updates, take advantage of Google Calendar integration, and even manage email from other domains.

Part of this, of course, is a result of the platform’s constant evolution. In the beginning, Gmail was only used to send and receive emails, then the integration with Hangouts was introduced, expanding the possibilities of communication. The built-in messenger, however, did not survive for long and, in April 2020, began to make room for successors Chat and Meet.
