Kevin J. Johnston, one of the faces of the anti-vaccine movement and a former mayor in Calgary, Canada, has a long history of trouble with the police and with Canadian law. The 50-year-old man was named a “Canadian fugitive” for failing to appear in a Toronto courthouse to begin serving a prison sentence this Tuesday. His lawyer says he fled to the United States in hopes of seeking political asylum.
