CES 2022 is a technology event, but in recent years it has become famous for also being a place where companies present solutions for the automotive sector. One of the big players in this segment is Here Technologies, responsible for equipping cars around the world with its sensors and security systems, which should get even better in the coming years.
The company’s great idea is to offer its systems practically ready to assemblers, all that is needed is to equip the vehicles before going out for sales. In the case of Here, the range of solutions goes a little beyond the ADAS package, which includes items such as autonomous braking and a lane maintenance system used, even in some Braisl cars.
Another clear example is Here HD Map, a complete map integrated into the vehicle system and ready for cars with level 3 autonomous driving. With this map, which has all the streets and paths registered in the cloud, the car knows exactly what is happening on the route, such as traffic, accidents and construction work, so that the route can be modified in real time.

Currently, only Mercedes-Benz uses this package, which is one of the most advanced in the world, but other brands should acquire it soon.
In addition to HD Map, Here introduced ISA Map. In this product, the focus is on warning of speed limits on highways and streets. This feature, by the way, will be mandatory in cars in the European Union from July 2022, but, with Here’s solution, the system will be on a higher level.
According to the company, 8 of the 9 main automakers in Europe will have their system in cars. The agreements foresee that 20 million vehicles will be equipped with Here ISA Map by 2024 in the region, with 50 million by 2027.
All data will be updated in real time, so users will find it easier to adapt to speed standards.
Here Navigation
Another highlight of Here at CES 2022 is the evolution of Here Navigation. According to the company, it is a kind of vehicle operating system that has all the necessary information about a vehicle, whether electric, for leisure or for work.
Here Navigation offers a set of premium navigation features with an easy-to-customize user experience, using cloud technology to provide always-up-to-date maps and more flexibly deploying new features — including third-party services — in-car.
During CES 2022, Here revealed that currently more than 150 million cars are equipped with its systems around the world, always based on Here Navigation.
