Razer Blade 14 is updated with Ryzen 6000H chips and new Nvidia GPUs –

Razer unveiled at CES 2022 the new generation of the brand’s compact gaming laptop, the Razer Blade 14. The first generation of the machine was the company’s first notebook to feature AMD hardware, and received praise for its balance between size and performance, significantly higher than competitors in the same category.

The updated version fixes some of the points criticized in the predecessor, such as the finishing, while bringing even more powerful configurations, with Ryzen 6000H chips and the new GPUs of the RTX 3000 family, as well as improvements in sound, camera, memories and most.

The Razer Blade 14 retains the touted compact body of its predecessor, but now employs the brand-applied special finish on the Blade 15 and Blade 17, which prevents fingerprints from remaining on the casing. The manufacturer also revealed that it has invested in usability, increasing the size of the keys and keyboard, in addition to using lasers to create the openings for the speakers, in order to bring a more refined look and prevent dust from accumulating in the region.

It was in the processing that the device underwent more changes, with the novelty maintaining the partnership with AMD and now bringing the newly announced Ryzen 6000H line processors, up to the Ryzen 9 6980HX — manufactured in 6 nm, the chips are the first of the line Ryzen overcoming the 5.0 GHz barrier. In addition, the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti were implemented, along with the basic option with the RTX 3060, in configurations up to 100 W.

With the addition of the new family of CPUs, the device is one of the first from Razer to feature DDR5 memory, at 4,800 MT/s, and finally supports M.2 NVMe SSDs based on the PCI-E 4.0 bus, capable of achieving rates of transfer above 7 GB/s. Other than that, the company added a MUX Switch, which allows you to disable the built-in GPU so that the dedicated GPU sends direct signal to the notebook screen, increasing performance.

Price and availability

The new generation of Razer Blade 14 hits the market in the first quarter of 2022, but has not yet had its prices announced.
