Hidden among native macOS applications and programs, many of them more related to advanced computer system settings, the Key Access app allows Mac users to store and manage their most sensitive data, such as all their logins and passwords already registered.
Data storage does not refer to logins and passwords for websites such as portals and social networks, but also to all Wi-Fi networks already connected by any devices linked to your Apple ID account, such as your iPhone or iPad , in addition to your own Mac.
Furthermore, the storage is done automatically by the system, as long as the Keys function is activated in your iCloud account.

Understand in the steps below how to use the Password Access app to manage your logins and passwords on your Mac:
- First of all, you need to confirm that Keys are activated on your Apple ID. Enter your Mac’s System Preferences and click to access your Apple ID account;
- On your Apple ID screen, with the “iCloud” tab selected on the left side, confirm that the “Keys” option is properly activated in your account;
- Now open the Password Access app. You can find it inside the “Others” folder in Launchpad or in your Mac’s app list. With the app open on your screen, you can use the search field at the top right of the window or the item categories to find the app. login or password you want to find;
- Explore and manage all logins and passwords stored in your Mac’s application. If you want to find the password of any specific login, just click on it;
- In the information window that will open on the screen, click on “Show password”. Before the password is displayed in the field, you will need to confirm the action with your computer’s passcode.
