Nvidia to expand lineup of professional GPUs with new RTX A4500 and RTX A5500 –

Several rumors indicate that Nvidia is getting ready to launch a series of new GPUs of the RTX 3000 family, as a way to correct criticized points in the original models, and to meet the high demand due to the scarcity of components. Among the awaited news, the highlight goes to versions of the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti with greater memory capacity, one of the weaknesses of both, as well as a revamped version of the RTX 2060 with twice as much VRAM.

It seems that gamers won’t be the only ones to receive news from the company — professionals should receive two new video card options, as the latest rumors indicate. The solutions, belonging to the Nvidia RTX A family, successor to the Quadro line, were found this week in new certifications.

The most basic of the two models, the RTX A4500 was the first to emerge in a certification from the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), which specifically mentions the model in the records. However, the documentation does not provide details of specifications, confirming only that the request was made by Nvidia itself.

The solution then appeared shortly afterwards in the latest beta update of AIDA64, popular software that identifies and lists computer components. The card is not only cited directly, but also has the possible chip confirmed — the GA102GL, a variant of the GA102 that equips the RTX 3090 and RTX A6000, the brand’s most powerful solutions for games and professionals, respectively.

In response to the records, the renowned leaker kopite7kimi indicated some of the possible specifications of the RTX A4500, as well as suggesting the existence of a second novelty, the RTX A5500.

Second kopite7kimi, the RTX A4500 will come to market equipped with 7,168 CUDA cores and 20GB of GDDR6 RAM, considerable upgrades compared to the RTX A4000. The old mid-range model featured a GA104 chip, with 6,144 CUDA cores and 16 GB of RAM — which would mark a 16% upgrade in cores and 25% more memory, essential for the professional audience.

The leaker also reveals that an RTX A5500 is also being planned, although he is not completely sure, nor information about the specs. Considering the nomenclature, the advanced GPU should bring a thicker version of the GA102 chip present in the RTX A5000, along with an increase in memory capacity, although everything is just speculation so far.

Fuller details on the card’s configurations and release dates are still unknown, but given the rumors that the 12GB RTX 2060 should hit the market as early as December, and that updated versions of the RTX 3000 lineup arrive in January , chances are good that we will have at least news about the new RTX A boards by the beginning of 2022.
