CPN refutes report on sack of registrar, others — Technology — –

cpnIn a rejoinder sent to The Guardian, and signed by its Head, Public Relations, Raji-Awe Aderemi, CPN explained that the council at its 75th meeting held on October 9, 2015 did directed that the Registrar/Secretary to council should proceed on terminal leave in accordance with public service rules having served out his terms of office. It stressed that Sikiru was never suspended.

On the Director, Legal Services, Alhaji Abass Fufore, CPN claimed he served the council meritoriously for eight years and in accordance with the public service rules has since proceeded on his terminal leave from September 2015. The council said Fufore was therefore not sacked as stated in the publication.

The CPN also claimed that its Head, Human Resources and Administration, Alhaji Amoo Taofeek, was asked to proceed on one-month leave for administrative reasons and not sacked.

Speaking on the Director of Membership, Ibraheem Al-Is-Haq, CPN said he was also not sacked. It stressed that issue relating to him is presently being treated in line with the public service rules.

Aderemi said it has become imperative to correct the misrepresentations for posterity sake and also in order to correct any erroneous impression that the publication might have created in the minds of members of the IT profession and the general public.
