Minjee Lee is the queen of the US Womens Open. A record success for the Australian who, at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club (par 71) in Southern Pines, North Carolina, won with a total of 271 (67 66 67 71, -13) strokes. Her success (the second in a Major after the one arrived in 2021 at the Amundi Evian Championship), allowed her to collect 1,800,000 dollars against a total prize pool of 10,000,000.
This is the highest win for a pro in the history of women’s golf in a single tournament.

“I’m speechless, I can’t believe it. Winning the US Womens Open has always been my childhood dream and now I’ve managed to make it come true.
It’s fantastic and this is the best victory of my career”, the 25-year-old from Perth delighted. (but with South Korean origins).
