Tobin Heath linked to a move back to the NWSL

After her departure from Arsenal, all eyes are on Tobin Heath.

The USWNT forward made her exit from the WSL side in April after suffering a season-ending hamstring injury. She spent seven months with the Gunners, arriving in September via a free transfer from Manchester United, where she competed during the 2020-2021 Women’s Super League season.

Heath recorded three goals in 18 appearances with Arsenal before departing. She has since returned to the United States to focus on rehabilitation, inciting rumors about a possible move to the National Women’s Soccer League.

While the player’s NWSL rights continue to belong to Racing Louisville after the club acquired them from the Portland Thorns in 2021 during the expansion draft, reports suggest Heath has no intention of playing with the club.

Former head coach Christy Holly seemingly confirmed the news at the time, adding “ The players that I would like to focus on are the players that are inside that building, and the players that actually opted to be at this club, and actually picked up the phone and talked to us.”
