It was a very windy day at the Evian Resort Golf Club, but this did not slow down the twists and turns and the good results (albeit on average much higher than yesterday).

Three projectors created a hole-in-one, including the champion in command. The team winner of the Aramco Team Series last week writes on the score 3 bogey, a double bogey, 3 birdies and an ace at PAR3 on hole 8 and moves to 1st position.

She has not yet achieved an individual victory over the LET and she wants to take advantage of this period in top form. Followed, tied on a total of -3, by the leader of the opening lap Carmen Alonso (today 73 shots) and the recent Investec South African Women’s Open champion Lee-Anne Pace (69 shots).

4th place for the Argentine Magdalena Simmermacher, already protagonist in last week’s leaderboard, who at -1, shares the position with the Finnish Tiia Koivisto and the Swedish Joanna Gustavsson. The 26-year-old from Buenos Aires makes the best lap of the day and writes a 66 on the score.

Good result for the only Italian on the field: Lucrezia Colombotto Rosso closes the 2nd round of the Jabra Ladies Open presented by Bitstamp in 73 strokes (+2) and is 54th, with 149 total strokes. She thus passes the cut set at +7, and enters the final round.

The third and final round, in fact, will start tomorrow at 7.45 am and the winner of the tournament will earn a place in the July Major to be held on this same course. In the opening lap of the Jabra Ladies Open presented by Bitstamp, the Spanish Carmen Alonso leads the ranking, after completing the 18 holes of the Evian Resort Golf Club in 66 strokes.

Starting this morning from hole 15, the 25th champion in the Race to Costa del Sol, started with a bogey, but kept her cool and promptly made a birdie at 16, before scoring an eagle at 18. She finished 1st. round with 4 other birdies and only one bogey, for a final result of -5.
