Nigeria’s representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup, Enugu Rangers aim to continue their good run in the competition when they meet CS Sfaxien of Tunisia in Sfax.

The Flying Antelopes beat Salitas of Burkina Faso 2-0 in their opening game of the group stage to lead Group B ahead of CS Sfaxien on goals difference. Both sides have three points each.

Rangers’ Midfielder, Ajani Ibrahim admits that his team are the underdogs in this game, but he says that would work in their favour.

“We may be seen as the weak team going into this match and that fits us very well as our target is to go there and surprise them.

“By God’s grace, we shall come back with a good result. The three points at stake is not too far away.”

Captain Sunday Odita, a veteran of many continental battles with the Flying Antelopes and Enyimba of Aba adds, “We are confident going into this match against Sfaxien in Tunisia and we believe that we shall come back with a good result.

“They are a good side by all standards and we respect them for being a former winner of the trophy but on the pitch, we shall do the needful to ensure that we put ourselves in the best position to qualify for the quarter-final before the last round of matches.”

Sfaxien are the form team in the competition. They aim to win their matches no matter the venue.

Aymen Harzi, who scored against Sahel, will be looking to score again and help Sfaxien win at home.
